St Albans Cricket Club Won St Albans win by 5 runs
What a good day out for the old un's.
There was a few aging kits on show which the moth had not managed to get at!
Congrats to Graham Baud for his maiden Club century.
St Albans vets won the toss and Captain Mardle opted to bat.
Aftera generous declaration and a very nice tea the Met Polce replied with a keen-ness to chase the runs. The flight and gile of Ellis was too much for some.( yes Pat it was turning) congrats to Gwyn for his first '5 for' in a few years.
It was left to J. Fretter and B. Shardlow to attempt to steer the Met Police home and following a partnership of 78 Captain Mardle brought on 'Sexy Rexy' Devadeson to see off the afore mentioned batsmen and deliver a win for the St Albans Vets in their inaugural match.
Looking forward to the rematch next year.
