Match report The visitors batted first, and openers George and Will started solidly. Nulan and Samuel then kept the run flowing, with particularly fine boundaries from Samuel Kumar coming off the bat. Romeo top-scored with 11 partnered with Charlie, but the final pair of Oliver and Louis struggled to protect their wickets. St Albans finished on 236-5, a total that looked as if it could prove to be a challenging target.

OA2 were kept in check by an early Romeo wicket, and never really matched the required scoring rate. Nulan ended with three wickets and an impressive catch at mid-wicket. Will Monk also claimed three wickets, and Samuel took the other with fast, accurate bowling. The home side finished 15 runs short of their target.

The highlights of the St Albans performance was the all-round play of Samuel and Romeo, Nulan's talent with the ball both bowling and in the field, and Oliver's wicket-keeping which included a deftly taken catch. Captain Will led the team well and deserved to be on the winning side.
