St Albans Cricket Club 3XI v Southgate Adelaide II on Sat 10 May 2008 at
St Albans Cricket Club Won by 94 runs
Another 30 points, with Southgate Adelaide going home with 0 - Marvellous!
Having lost the toss and been inserted the batsmen performed very well against some reasonable bowling on a helpful pitch. Fergie was unlucky to get a shooter. Galloway, Eames and Wischnowsky all batted very well to allow an early declaration after only 49 overs. One or two visiting batsmen hung around for a while (one for a second innings after failing to walk) but the Saints bowlers chipped away with captain Black again leading the way. A very good all-round performance, everyone chipping in for a great team effort. A few dropped catches meant that the game lasted longer than perhaps it should but the right team won in the end.
