Northwood Town II v St Albans Cricket Club 3XI on Sat 17 May 2008 at
St Albans Cricket Club Lost by 7 wickets
Captain for the day Nick Kirwan proved once again what a useless tosser he is. Having called incorrectly, St Albans were inserted on a wet helpful wicket with sporadic showers preventing any batsman settling. Hills (7-27 all bowled) was by far the pick of the Northwood Town bowlers but they all bowled steadily which, coupled with some poor batting, left saints all out for 59. This was almost certainly not enough unless the bowlers performed at their best - unfortunately they didn't. The weather cleared, the pitch improved, the batsmen went for their shots and the rest, as the say, is history. A day best forgotten, roll on next week.
