Match report A sunny but windy evening, encouraged the 2 young teams to provide a high level of skill in this 8 a side game played at Clarence Park, St. Albans.

Flamstead won the toss and placed St. Albans into bat. St.Albans started steadily and their confidence grew as the runs started to come. With the first change of batsmen came the first fall of wickets, Tom Dilley caught and bowled by Laurence Brown but again some steady batting by Callum Emmerson, Hugo Harding and Harry Knill-Jones brought the St. Albans total upto 262 for 3.

Flamstead started thier innings cautiously but without the downfall of any wickets until Hugo Harding produced 2 wickets in 2 balls which pegged back the Flamstead scoring. Alex Honeyball, playing his first game produced some excellent shots which brought Flamstead back on course. Unfortunately, the fall of another 2 wickets further pegged back the Flamstead scoring and further tight overs by Harry Knill-Jones reduced the Flamstead total to 225 for 7 after their 16 overs.
