Match report A lovely sunny evening and a good crowd saw some competitive cricket, with Shenley Village winning comfortably in the end.
Shenley Village won the toss and decided to bat. Scoring came freely from Shenley with Thomson (32 ret.), Guerra (16), and Harris (14) playing some lovely shots. St Albans fielded well with 2 run outs from direct hits. Some tight bowling from Harry Knill-Jones(0-2), and Oliver Calverley(2-15) slowed the scoring rate and kept the pressure on the batsmen with 3 wickets falling in the penultimate over. Shenley Village finished on 117-6.

St Albans reply started very slowly and at 6-0 after 3 overs needed some urgency. Captain Hugo Harding (16) started the attack and with a quick fire 9 from Harry Knill-Jones a platform was established at 50-2 from 12 overs. The bowlers then swung the momentum firmly back to Shenley with I Harris (2-1), and Benson (1-0) the pick of the attack. Alfie Button (11) played the anchor role, but without further support the St Albans innings ended on 58-7.
