Match report On a cold and blustery evening the U11 girls recorded a comfortable victory over Abbots Langley by 30 runs in their first match of the season. Abbots batted first but wickets fell regularly. Hannah Bentley, Freya Bolam, Imogen Warwick, Georgina Reynolds, Amelia Layne and Grace Twidell all took wickets and there were three run-outs as Abbots posted 205-8.
For St Albans Imogen Warwick and Freya Bolam made a solid start and runs continued to mount up, reaching 235-4. Imogen Warwick, Freya Bolam, Celeste Jones and Georgina Reynolds each scored 10, although Freya and Georgina were out once each. Girl of the Match: Imogen Warwick
