Match report 1st match of the season and Saints lost the toss and bowled brilliantly with Holtwhites openers gone in the first 2 overs. Wickets continued to tumble for the home team with some outstanding fielding by Nick and catches being held by Saint meant Holtwhites were bundled for 80 in 30 overs. Debutant George had an outstanding game with bat and ball. Opening spell by Tom and Uttam led to the standard and rest followed meant no easy runs for the opp.
Saints openers were gone within 4 balls and one doggy LBW decision meant Zach TFC. 4 wickets were lost inside 6 overs for 17 runs meant just 1 partnership would put the game away. Ash played some nice attacking shots meant the 5 wickets partnership with skip for 33 runs out some hopes back. However Saints like to make the game interesting and another 3 wickets meant slower order had to put in some much needed runs. George, Murphy, Toole and Uttam added valueable runs to put the away side through for the 1st win of the season.
