Match report After winning the toss and electing to field, stand-in captain, Gordon Murray elected to field. He was soon rewarded with early wickets. Only Wheathampstead captain, Winchester, showed any resistance.

Good fielding and catching restricted Wheathampstead to just 163, as they were bowled out in 40 overs.

Sylvester and, in particular, Dinesh Yogendra punished anything loose, as they set about a 10 wicket win.

With Yogendra on 96 and Sylvester, facing, on 47, Sylvester could not resist the temptation, and went to 50, leaving Yogendra stranded at the end.

A good, all-round, team performance, against a struggling Wheathampstead side.
