Match report Against a weaker than normal Harpenden team, S.A.C.C. performed excellently, once again excelling in the field -- with 4 catches (2 by James Rosson and 1 each for Debjit Mukhejee and Matt Cairns) plus a run out with Matt throwing into James to take off the bails. With the target restricted to 202, thanks to some accurate bowling from the team including Maiden overs from Jamie Telkman, Ethan Fogarty and Debjit plus 2 wickets each for Matt and James, and only 4 wides in 16 overs, it was then our turn to bat and consolidate the hard work put in. There was a solid opening partmership from Debjit (1*) and James McAllister (5*)putting on 20 runs without losing a wicket. This was then followed by Jonathon Bennett (7*) and Matt (7*) who both proved that their hard work in practice is paying off with some good aggressive strokes, again without losing a wicket. The last two pairs - Ethan (Top score so far this season 23*) and Stephen Young (7*) then James Rosson (20*) and Jamie Telkman (5) put on 62 runs in 8 overs, with some great running between the wickets combined with 10 boundaries to ensure victory. Depite the weaker than normal Harpenden Team, S.A.C.C. should be proud of the way they worked hard yet again - especially in the field to set up the platform for the win... (Congratulations also to James Mc, Jonathon Bennett, Matt Cairns, Stephen Young, and Jamie Telkman who all chose tonight to hit their first Match Boundaries) Well Done to the whole team.......
