Match report A great all round team performance delivering the first CV League win of the season.
St Albans were surprisingly put in to bat on what turned out to be a very slow pitch with very uneven bounce. Manny and Rob started steadily and negotiated the track's uncertainties with caution. Other good partnerships of 53 with Ashish, and 107 with Andy KJ were built, but it was Manny who carried his bat for a fantastic 111* that ensured St Albans had set a solid target.

(After a lovely curry tea!) the Crouch End openers very quickly started to take the game away from St Albans. Their opening pair had put on 66 by the 9th over and looked untroubled. Rob (9-17-0) and Ashish (10-35-3) then steadied the ship and once Crouch End's opener Ullah (116) had finally been bowled in the 34th over Crouch End's threat wilted, and St Albans were able to close out the game without further incident.
