SACC Awards Evening 2017 - All the Details
As previously announced this year's St Albans Cricket Club Awards Evening will take place on Saturday October 7th at The Townsend Tennis & Bowls Club in St Albans from 6.30pm until midnight. 

Absolutely everyone is welcome.  If you have ever played for the 1XI, 2XI, 3XI, 4XI, Club XI, Presidents Day XI, Sunday 1XI, Sunday 2XI, Junior Teams or Girls teams, or if you've ever coached, scored, umpired, made teas, been a parent helper, driven players to matches or been involved in any capacity whatsoever, you are part of our club and we would love you to come along with your friends, partners and family.

Guest Speaker: We are pleased to announce that the guest speaker at this year’s St Albans Cricket Club Annual Awards Dinner will be former England international Monty Panesar.

Luton born Monty will take part in an extensive Q&A interview at the event, which takes place from 6.30pm on Saturday October 7th at Townsend Sports Club, 8 Waverley Road, St Albans.

 Orthodox left arm spinner Monty played 77 times for England receiving 50 test caps and picking up 193 wickets, including 12 five wicket and 2 ten wicket hauls.

 His first test scalp was the legendary Sachin Tendulkar.

Club Awards - All Saturday and Sunday teams to be represented with additional awards for notable junior performances plus a number of 'special' awards.

Raffle - If the last couple of years are anything to go by there will be some great raffle prizes on offer.

St Albans is a community cricket club, offering cricket across all standards.  We have 4 teams competing in the Saracens Hertfordshire Cricket League, 2 teams playing in the Chess Valley League, and a thriving Colts section, playing regular matches for both Boys and Girls across a wide range of age groups.

As we approach the end of this year's cricket season we are NOW actively recruiting new players for our 2018 season.

The club is looking to continue progress from a great 2017 season. We currently run 4 league sides on a Saturday (with a 5XI friendly side on many weeks), and 2 Sunday teams with league and friendly cricket.

The club offer cricket and coaching for all abilities, from strong competitive 1XI league cricket, to Sunday friendlies.

Indoor winter nets will start in January at The Herts Sports Village in Hatfield and o
utdoor nets will start in May and  take place by the pavilion at Clarence park every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the season from 6pm until it gets dark. All welcome!
