Match report A comfortable win to start the season, the basis of which was wonderful spells by the two opener bowlers Peter King and Luke Mitchell. Both opening batsmen were removed with the score on 0 and runs never caught up with overs until the twentieth over. Aside from an early lapse by McKinley (sorry - had to mention it) the catching behind the stumps was superb and Jerry Fretter also came up with a sharp stumping. For a brief moment it looked like two of the Flitwick middle order might steady the ship but a calamitous run out removed any chance of mustering a reasonable total. Nick Kirwan cleaned up the tail leaving Peter King to have to wait a week for his hat-trick ball. Chasing a small total doesn't focus the mind and wickets were thrown away before the thirty points were secured, reflecting the performance of Flitwick, with a wide!
