Luton Town v St Albans Cricket Club 1XI on Sat 04 May 2002 at 12:30
St Albans Cricket Club Won 7 Wkts

Match report Jaffer Chaudhry led the St Albans charge as they dismissed a weak Luton Town for 72 finishing with 4 for 26 of 8 thus ensuring Luton had no way back in.
In a short day dominated by the Saints bowling attack other contributions came from the veteran Richard O'Toole who rolled back the years to finish with figures of 2 for 14 of 9, Daniel Longhurst with 2 for 12 of 5 and Culverhouse with 1 for 16 off 4.1.
No doubt aware that his services were not required for Sunday, O'Tool took a risk with his aging limbs, pushing himself to the limit to prove his first team days aren't over.
Luton only had two players reach double figures, opener Patel scored 15 before being caught and bowled by Chaudhry, and Davis struck 19 before being outsmarted by Longhurst with the help of Chaudhry looking sharp in the field taking a good catch at extra cover.
Another sharp fielding performance from Jamie Shaw ensured O'Toole figures remained respectable.
Based on this performance it could be a good season for the Saints!
