St Albans Cricket Club Won 5 Wickets

Match report A good performance in the field led St Albans to their 2nd win in two games.

A tight bowling attack restricted WGC to 135 runs all out. Richard O'Tool ensured they were under pressure from the start taking 2 for 26 of his 14.5 overs. Chaudhry and Culverhouse also each bagged a brace in a day where no St Albans bowler conceded more than 30 runs. The pick of the figures were Daniel Longhurst's taking 3 for 9 of his nine overs.
In reply to WGC's 135 the Saints reply faultered early on being 8 for 2 at one stage, but Gilbert and Caley steadied the ship with knocks of 42 and 46 respectively, Andrew Jones finished the job with a hard hitting 25 not out.
