Dear ##firstname##,
As per our email a few days ago work is continuing apace on the pavilion bar refurbishment at Clarence Park.
We have been extremely lucky to have a number of highly skilled tradesmen volunteer their services for free and we wanted to take this opportunity to introduce them.
All of the people involved in the building, plumbing, plastering and electrics side of this initiative are members of a local business group called Business Network International (BNI), which as the name suggests is an international network of local business groups who meet regularly to develop and promote their individual companies.
This particular group who are helping us are a Radlett based chapter called ‘Connexions’. More info on BNI and what they do can be found here: http://www.bni-lnw.com/london-n-w--connexions-bni-(radlett)/
This all started when we put out a call at the very beginning of this process asking for skilled tradespeople to help us out and Jeremy Banks , whose children are part of the Colts set up at the club, contacted us to tell us about BNI , of which he is Vice President.
Jeremy is a professional photographer ( www.jeremybanksphotography.com ) and brought along a number of his fellow BNI members to see what needed doing at the pavilion in early February.
Luckily for us the guys he brought along wanted to help us out and we’ve now got on board Stuart Temple from ST Contracts ( www.stcontracts.co.uk ) and his team who are handling the plastering and building work , Phil Burgess from PJB Home Solutions (www.pjbhomesolutions.co.uk ) and his team who are in charge of the plumbing and Alix Stella from Premium Services Electrical ( www.bonafidesparks.co.uk ) and his team who are looking after all the electrics.
We cannot emphasise how grateful we are to them for helping us out – it has meant we will get a high quality job done and it has saved us a fortune!
If you’re looking for a builder , a plumber or an electrician judging by the quality of their work so far you won’t go far wrong with these guys!
Here’s a photo of the BNI team hard at work :

We also want to mention one of our own adult members Jon Little whose company Arbor Flooring ( www.arborflooring.co.uk ) is sourcing and installing our new floor in the bar on a volunteer basis. Thanks Jon!
So hopefully that will inspire you to help out for a couple of hours this coming weekend (Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd April) at Clarence Park – we have a ton of work to do and need willing volunteers....
Please , it’s your club, it’s all going to be amazing but we need you to step up this weekend for a few hours if you can.
Please email Paul Sands onpaul.sands2@gmail.comand let him know when you might be able to spare some time on either Saturday or Sunday - or both .
Regards,
St Albans Cricket club.
