Dear ##firstname##,
An update on the Clarence Park pavilion bar refurbishment.
We're almost there !
Earlier this week a team of young people led by the charity Volunteer It Yourself spend two days painting the bar area - thanks to their hard work it looks great .
Today the new floor went down Jon Little and his Arbor Flooring team and it is amazing - wait 'til you see it ....
We are still planning to have the bar fully finished and open by next Friday 21st April , which will be a real achievement.
However, there are a bunch of important jobs that still need doing before everything is completely done.
Chief among these is painting - we still need to prepare and paint the doors and walls in the new toilets, various internal and external walls and window frames still need a top coat and we haven't been able to paint one big wall in the bar because the re-plastering hasn't dried sufficiently. Hopefully it will have by this weekend so we should be able to get that done .
We got a huge amount done during the last work party a couple of weekends ago and if we can replicate that level of support on Saturday we'll easily finish everything off.
Pretty much all the grubby , heavy lifting jobs are now done , it's really just the finishing touches left - if you can spare a couple of hours from 10am on Saturday at Clarence Park we can get it done in no time.
Please help us get over this last hurdle by giving us a couple of hours of your time on Saturday - it will be so worth it when it's all done!
If you could let Paul Sands know when you might be available on Saturday we would really appreciate it .Please drop him an email on paul.sands2@gmail.com
Regards,
St Albans Cricket club.
