NatWest CommunityForce - Vote for Our Nets Project!!

28 Sep 2011

As you already know, we are working hard to raise the funds to build a new 4 lane non-turf net facility in Clarence Park as the current facility, whilst popular with members of the public, is too dangerous for use with a hard ball. This new facility wouldn’t just be for the club to make use of (although that in itself makes it a worthy project) it would also be available for wider use by local schools and by the general public – we already have some local schools committed to using the nets once they’re built.

To date we’ve managed to raise about £30,000 which puts us almost half way to our target – so there’s still a long way to go! To help us reach our goal we have submitted a proposal to the Nat West Community Force Grant, and now we need as much local support as we can gather.

Can I ask you to take a couple of minutes to visit the Nat West website and vote for our project, as they award their grants to those projects that have the strongest local support. Could you also help spread the word in any way that you can – get all your family and friends to vote too!

They haven’t made voting particularly easy so hopefully these instructions will make life easier:

What you need to do is

  1. Go to https://communityforce.natwest.com/user/register/ and register your details (your name and your email address)
  2. Go to https://communityforce.natwest.com/user/login/ and login
  3. Click on ‘Find projects to vote for’
  4. Cut and paste http://communityforce.natwest.com/project/3903 in to your web address bar (or search for St Albans, and then look at the Sports projects)
  5. Vote for us by clicking on the red box
  6. Get your friends and family to do the same!

Your vote and your help spreading the word will help us to reach our goal, and is much appreciated.

Many thanks
