As the April weather turns to drizzle it is time to turn to cricket once again.

The club kicks off (weather permitting!) next Saturday @ Clarence Park vs a Southampton University XI including our very own 1st XI keeper Ethan Fogarty. No doubt our bowlers will be queuing up to knock him over! The team has been selected from the early birds who have got their availability on the website (stalbanscc.com). Please make sure your availability is added ASAP for the next few weeks and especially the 5/12th May weekends when the league season starts. Log into your account and click on the 'Availability' option. You can reset your password from the site if you have forgotten it.

For more serious players please make every effort to make yourself available for pre-season games, especially on Sat 28th April, there are 2 fixtures and we would like to field strong sides that will help us pick the league teams for the first couple of weeks.

The last week of indoor nets is this week at Redbourn. Outdoor nets start the following week (w/c 16th April) with adult nets on Tuesday and Thursday nights in the new nets at Clarence Park. These initially run from 6-8pm so please attend when you can. We may look to move the start time a little later when the light improves. Please make every effort to attend these, a lot of work has gone in to provide this excellent facility and with no cost it's a great opportunity to work on your game.

The first social event of the season is on Fri 4th May. It is the traditional games night, an ideal opportunity to meet new faces! More details to follow. The nets will be formally opened on Friday 13th May @ 6pm, if you fancy a been and want to have a look please come along.
