Saucy Postcard Tour update

26 Jul 2014

Dear all

Here’s some more information on “The Saucy Postcard Tour, 2014” to Great Yarmouth.

Minibus has been booked and departure time is 11.00 AM from Clarence Park on Monday 28 July.

Space in the minibus is limited, so to avoid being too uncomfortable please can you arrange with another player to share kit (ie, bats and pads).  Please also pack light, but don’t forget your swimming trunks as we will be in England’s premier seaside spot.  Buckets and spades available for purchase.

Wednesday's activity (sporting...ish) is booked for 2pm on Wednesday afternoon.  Cost is £12.95 per person including a bite to eat and a drink.   Wednesday evening will be sampling the delights of Great Yarmouth night life.

We are being joined on Thursday by Messrs Rudlin, Sands and Garg. What a threesome that is!

Any questions/excuses for avoiding Wednesday's activity call me on 07904 805798. Jonesy is already at docs Monday morning to get a note as he is a sickly boy!

See you Monday – don’t forget your drinking trousers!

If there is anyone not on the list who you think should be going please let me know.

I am still waiting payment from the a few people and I have contacted all of these directly. Please can you pay the outstanding amount as soon as possible as I'm currently out of pocket by about £1300.

I'm trying to work out whether we need a minibus to get us up to Yarmouth or whether we can do it by cars. Can you please let me know by phone, e-mail or social media whether they need transport or are planning to drive. 07904 805798 or meammo@hotmail.com

I suspect a minibus will be approx £40 return or £20 one way. I can only spot about 5 drivers in the touring group and with bags and stuff I can't see it working without a booze bus.

The two 20 over evening games on the Monday and the Tuesday both have BBQs lined up and I feel that the correct protocol is to drink with the oppo before we sample the many delights of Great Yarmouth. Wednesday is a day off but there is an non cricketing alternative lined up if required or we can just get "right on it". Preferences gratefully received.

Thursday is an all day game and hopefully we will be in a fit state to perform admirably.
