Good news – acclaimed Australian filmmaker and cricket journalist Jarrod Kimber has been confirmed as the guest speaker at this year’s St Albans Cricket Club Awards, which take place on Saturday November 14th from 7.30pm at the Townsend Sports Club in Waverley Road , St Albans.
The co-presenter and co-director of the award winning 2015 documentary film ‘Death of a Gentleman’, a hard hitting investigation into the tensions between Test Cricket and the administrators of the global T20 game, Jarrod is also the global writer for ESPN Cricinfo, a regular contributor to Test Match Sofa and part of ABC TV’s commentary team in Australia – he was also nominated for Best New Writer in the National Sporting Club Book Awards 2010 for his book ‘When Freddie Became Jesus’ and writes the hugely popular blog www.cricketwithballs.com
