Match report A game of 2 halves....as they say. With Saints being inserted by the opposition the first 30 overs saw some dilligent batting agianst some accurate bowling. Chaudhry finally lived up to his promise by making a solid 39, his highest score for the 1st XI, and he was supported by some soloid support from Edbrooke. The game changed somewha when Caley came to the wicket, soon to be joined by White. What followed was an explosive batting display with the ball reaching all corners of Clarence Park. Caley bludgeoning his way to 81 in 50 balls and White not far behind with 65 of 52 balls. This batting extravagnzer saw the Saints post 278 their biggest score of the year.

The materly diplay of batting however did not continue as Saints took the field. Early breakthroughs by White and O'Toole reduced the visitors to 40 for 4. So far so good. However with the oppositions captain coming to the wicket, a further breakthrough would be crucial. A miscued on drive resulted in a simple chance to mid on however the chance was spilled and their captain went on to start playing some expansive shots. A second chance when he was on 45 was put down at mid-wicket and he took full advantage of these chances and went on to make an undefeated century. With the light fading and no liklihood of a positive result the match ended in a draw. A chance missed.....
