Rickmasworth II v St Albans Cricket Club 3XI on Sat 11 Jun 2005 at 1.30pm
St Albans Cricket Club Won 67 runs

Match report A roller coaster of a game and all round a much better performance by St Albans. Having ben put in to bat the innings started slowly with the batsmen playing themselves in against some good early bowling. Half way through the innings the tempo changed, led by captain Fergie, and the runs flowed rapidly, aided by some very poor fielding. A fine all round effort from the batsmen leading to a healthy, defendable total. The start to the Ricky innings was in sharp contrast and a mixture of aggressive quality batting and viilage-esque slogging from the other end saw the 50 posted after only eight overs. The arrival of Nick Kirwan to the fray saw the departure of both openers and the game settled down to a good contest, particularly when the Molloy brothers were at the crease. At 140-4 Ricky were in a healthy position but a collapse of epic proportion saw the game wrapped up in quick time. Nick Kirwan picked up the early wickets and Uzman Zaman returned to mop up the tails in fine style. Bowlers were well supported by excellent fielding and catching. Well done all!
