Match report The first game of the season saw keenly contested game between St Albans and Redbourn with St Albans reaching their target of 81 in the gloomy evening light at Clarence Park, St Albans.

Redbourn were asked to bat first and began confidently gaining a number of quickly taken singles over the first 12 overs. However, a flurry of wickets over the next 4 overs restricted Redbourn to 81-7.

St Albans began their innings aggressively reaching 42 before the fall of the first wicket. With Alfie Button retiring after an impressive innings of 31, it was left to Harry Knill-Jones and Callum Emmerson to guide St Albans home as the darkness closed in with 3 overs to spare.

Man of the match went to the Alfie Button a very impressive all round display.
