St Albans Cricket Club Lost by 10 runs

Match report St Albans won the toss and asked Redbourn to bat on a cloudy but still dry evening. Paaras Rawal and Mark Telkman opened the bowling and soon were among the wickets. Mark Telkman bowled beautifully for figures of 4-2-12-2. However, the Redbourn batsmen still found the boundary regularly. Despite 3 run outs and a long break for rain Rebourn still posted an impressive score.

When St Albans batted, Mark Telkman (31) and George Calverley (35) batted positively in the deepening gloom. However the run rate crept up with good Redbourn bowling and fielding. Despite Nick Winchester's (17) best efforts St Albans finished short of the Redbourn total.

Redbourn were deserved winners of a good quality game and all the players should be congratulated for their efforts to overcome the wet conditions.
