Match report A lovely sunny evening on The Common saw Chorleywood meet St Albans for the first time.
St Albans put Chorleywood into bat and started brightly restricting Chorleywood to 15 for 1 after the first 5 overs. However, as St Albans rotated through their bowlers, Chorleywood accelerated with Will Bryant (30 rtd) and Matt Hodson (31 rtd) making the most of a few loose balls to reach a total of 132 for 4.

The target was within reach and St Albans openers made the most of the fast outfield, quickly reaching 29 in the first 4 overs. Captain Will Bryant (4-3-5-3) bowled excellently reducing the flow of runs by taking 3 wickets in his first 2 maiden overs, and reducing St Albans to 56 for 4 after 13 overs. Harry Knill-Jones (11) and Alfie Button (15no) started to eat into the required run rate. However, just as quickly, 3 run outs with direct hits from Chorleywood fielders, left St Albans well beaten on 77 for 8.
