JB's v St Albans Cricket Club Sunday 1st XI on Sun 10 Jul 2005 at 1.30pm (NOTE TIME)
St Albans Cricket Club Lost St Albans lost by 4 wickets

Match report A god awful performance. Despite the bowling being fairly 'ordinary' we managed to get out by playing strange shots. Admittedly the pitch hadn't been prepared, and landmines removed, but there was still no excuse for such a meagre batting total.

In reply, both Jaffer and Tim were fairly hostile, and several of the JB batsmen will be nursing brusies to all parts of the body. The opener even 'retired hurt' coming back in when the fast bowling has been completed. However, the 'shut your eyes and swing' method seemed to come off. It didn't really help the cause when, at least 5 catches were dropped, or never attempted.....

JB managed to secure the win by 4 wickets and many overs to spare.

Captain Tim Fretter said after the match " We were just village, playing a village side, and yet again an embarrasment to St Albans CC"

A very below performance against a side that the Sat 4th XI should be beating every week......
