Hemel u17s v St Albans Cricket Club Men's Indoor on Wed 15 Nov 2006 at 20:00
St Albans Cricket Club Won 4 wickets

Match report So St Albans take to the field again as the season reaches it's 'year end'. St Albans selection committee faced similar issues as England, opening batsman Rosson out with a broken nail and captain out with a wee papouse!! Jones in his new role as captain won the toss and elected to field! A new opening attack of Jones and O'Toole were on the mark from the off, it was like Harmison and Hoggard at Lords 2005, searing pace and bounce from Jones and swing & spit from O'Tool. Wickets started to fall and Hemel u17's could not cope, Jones removed the number 3 with a first ball, a searing inswinging yorker and then Longhurst got involved with and excellent run out. With the score 5-5 from 4 overs Jones brought Rodgers and Howeson into the attack, both bowled well but some inept fielding allowed Hemel to reach 48.

St Albans reply started well with Longhurst replacing Rossen at the top of the order with aussie Fogarty proving excellent support. Then proceeded a period of calm with the simple hitting of 1's, edging towards the target. Longhurst ran himself out again and Fogarty fell in a similar well. In came the saviour O'Toole and all-round computer nerd Howeson to successfully finish it off.
