St Albans Cricket Club 3XI v Redbourn II on Sat 05 May 2007 at 1.30pm
St Albans Cricket Club Lost

Match report Lost a match we could easily have won but several positives. In a team of five under 18s and six over 33s, every got a chance to get into the new season (with the possible exception of 'Ted' Hughes who sacrificed a bowling chance to keep wicket with the team in dire need). Three youngsters, Dave Hancock, Dan Lovett and Kevin Milton all had a decent opportunity with the ball and, after a few nervy starts, all showed promise. Redbourn scored more than they deserved but the target was reachable. Four old folk (Kincaid, Galloway, Ellins, Kirwan) all got runs but not quite enough and, without enough support, Saints fell short. Jamie Fleming bowled well on debut and the team will be better next week now that winter cobwebs have been removed.
