The IIIs twice fought back from adverse situations to claim an invaluable 30 points here.

Stevenage started well, but the tail fell like ninepins, losing 8 wickets for 15 runs. Bottoms was the star, returning 6/32.

In response, Saints started inauspiciously, and lumbered to 6-53, then 7-70 (effectively 8 down, with a man short). But then the Little-Bottoms coalition combined to add the 51 runs that ended the nervous pacing of the watching skipper.
