Wheathampstead batted first, and the highlight for the St Albans attack was John McVeigh taking a wicket with his debut ball. Olly Lees and Harry Price claimed a wicket each and kept the score down, but a final pairing of Joel and Patrick scored an unbeaten 27 for the home side to post a respectable total of 260.
