Old Albanians won the toss and elected to bat on this bright spring evening at SLCG, a welcome change from the long winter!

Opening batsmen William batting with aggression and purpose hitting a solid boundary and running some great doubles to put the pressure on the St. Albans field. Leo and Tom communicating effectively to produce some steady partnerships throughout the OA innings. Sam also contributing some great hitting in the middle part of the innings.

The St. Albans bowling attack replying well to the pressure. Harry and Andrew taking some great catches. Josh, Dylan and nulan all taking two wickets each. Oliver chipping in with one. The ball staying very low on a hard deck, making batting rather difficult to anything that pitched on a good length.

Old Albanians setting St. Albans a target of 227 to win.

The St. Albans batting line up responded well. Harry, nulan, Dylan and joe all striking the ball well, making fielding a significant challenge considering the pace of the outfield. Others defensively sound once the total had been passed. Some good communication and running between wickets, pleasing for crowd to watch.

Old Albanians worked hard with the ball. Sam taking two wickets in a row and his hat trick ball narrowly missing. Jamie, William and will all taking good wickets when pitching the ball on a good length. The OA fielders narrowly missing several run out attempts as St. Albans applied pressure throughout.

It was great to see and listen to boys encouraging their team mates throughout, supporting one another and providing helpful advice. Keen students of the game.
