A 93 run partnership between Max Capaldi (86) and Sandipan Chanda (37) brought Saints right back in to the game. Sandi's dismissal brought Phil Caley to the crease, who blitzed 64 off 30 balls before being dismissed enabling a declaration at 248-8 off 50 overs.

At 60-0 after just 5 overs, Hemel looked worryingly well placed for a successful chase, a great catch from Jonny Hall off Mbeks bowling breaking the partnership. Good spells of spin bowling from Mbeks (4-58), and a man of the match performance from Max Capaldi (5-43) helping to bowl Hemel out for 185 in the 41st over.
