Radlett Development v St Albans Cricket Club Junior Development on Sun 18 Jul 2004 at
St Albans Cricket Club Lost

Match report Another case of our colts beating their colts!!

After a sound start with some accurate bowling the St Albans attack fell away against the adult opposition, although they were unlucky not to have more catches going to hand. Their adults scored 70 runs and there were 29 extras. There were too many wides and noballs. The target should be a maximum of one of each per season!!! No change that - NO no-balls!! Get practising.

After the early loss of Adam Hounslow, Adam Potter attacked vigorously with 24 off 32 balls. Despite the introduction of an adult bowler by Radlett ?!, Alex Cook and Pete Griffiths then took the score to 95, before Cook was out. Then a clatter of middle order wickets, including Pete Griffiths who made a fine 53, left St Albans with little chance of recovery. A swashbuckling knock of 21 by Alex Sands and a 24 in 25 balls from Jack Bailey almost brought us back but into contention, but to no avail.
