Match report The IIIs completed an unwanted hattrick, as they suffered a third consecutive abandonment at the hands of the weather.

Dark clouds surrounded Verulam School Playing Fields as the field was prepared, and they chose to unleash a torrential downpour just prior to the scheduled start. It rained for no more than 15 minutes, yet that was enough to leave the uncovered pitch puddled in water from end to end. None who saw the wicket felt play could possibly begin, and so the captains quickly agreed to an abandonment. Never the less, with the skies clearing through the afternoon, the skipper was left to rue such an early end to the fixture.
