Match report Looking to repeat our earlier defeat of league leaders/winners Redbourn, u13s got off to a cracking start reaching 78 off the first 7 overs, with Oscar Reeves (25*) and Jake Clarke (30*) in excellent form. But the remaining batsman could not deal with accurate Redbourn bowling and the innings fell away to a disappointing 95 all out from just 11.1 overs.
It was always going to be tough defending such a small total on a quick outfield. Smart catches by Jake Clarke and Joe O'Hare (2), a direct hit run out (Will Robinson) and good fielding all round meant that Redbourn had to work for their runs. Zac Tarrant picked up 2 for 15 from 3. But Redbourn could not be prevented from getting home in the 14th over.
