St Albans Cricket Club 3XI v London Colney II on Sat 24 May 2008 at
St Albans Cricket Club Won by 108 runs

Match report A good all-round performance. Once Asad's boredom had got the better of him in the first over Saints batted steadily to half-way. After drinks the shackles were off and the runs flowed easily. 100+ partnership between Ferguson and Hounslow was followed up by some severe hitting by Thomas and Eames. When the captain called it a day after 49.1 overs Saints were in a strong position. After some excellent Mrs Black comestibles some of the bowlers too a while to settle but most found a good rhythm in the end. Andrew Walker and Nick Kirwan bowled tightly in the mid-section to put the game beyond Colney but wickets still needed taking. Enter Alex 'Alfie' Bass to bowl quick enough and accurately enough to mop up most tails. All-in-all a very successful outing.
