Match report After a close game last week Saints visited Preston who were bottom of the division. Skip won the toss and decided to bat and both the openers Stuart Murray and Any Rudlin got Saints to the best start of the season so far with the 100 run stand in 21 over. Stuart ran himself out on 63 but then Ashish Dean and Rudlin kept the score board ticking on 154-2 in 31 overs when Ash got caught. Saints then had a mini collapse losing the next 4 wickets quickly when score was 195-6 in 42 overs. However Andy batted brilliantly (one of the best knock) and kept the score board ticking along with skip who hit his first 6 of the season. Saints finally reached 257 for 9 in 50 overs with Andy scoring 96 not out.
Ben Adshead and Ash opened the bowling and the opp got to a decent start with 42 for 1 in 9 overs. However 2 more quick wickets with some fantastic bowling from Ben pushed the oppo back on 56 for 3 in 13 overs. But then a 4th wicket stand of 84 steadied the ship when eventually the magician Moksudul Islam came and pushed the oppo on the backfoot taking 4 wickets from his 7 overs. Zach West also took 2 crucial wickets one of the opening batsman getting him bowled on 77 which turned the game over and in the end Saints won by 67 runs.
