Match report Saints travelled to Clifton after quite a few people having a good night before and were put into bat after losing the toss.
It wasn’t a bad toss to lose as Stuart and Tom put on an excellent opening stand of 58 in 15 overs with some exciting shots. Eventually both were out and Saints were in a bit of trouble 80 for 4 in 23 overs.
Then came the 2 wise boys Toole and Cales who showed how to run between the wickets and added 59 run stand and some good hitting at the depth overs ended Saints on 222 which looked good at half way stage.
After some good lunch and possibly eating too many sandwiches Charlie and Dan opened the bowling with Charlie showing effects of heavy lunch but managed to get a first break through cleaning the opening batsman.
Saints were in a bit of trouble at half way stage when Clifton added 111 runs for 4 wickets at half way stage.
However after drinks with the re-introduction of Saqib who managed to take the big wicket of the skipper on 48 things changed. Saqib bowled an excellent spell taking 4 wickets for 31 runs and well supported by the rest of the guys. In the end Clifton were bundled out for 157.
Too highlight Dom forgot his kit bags but managed to get bits and pieces from the rest of the team.
