St Albans Cricket Club Won By 96 runs

Match report The final league match of the season for the U14 girls, and with only 2 points keeping them in second place in the table this was a must win game.
St Albans were a relatively inexperienced team but that did not show as they all bowled with control, and were well supported in the field, with catches being held and several run out opportunities were taken, restricting Tring to 214-9 from their 20 overs. Pick of the bowlers Jess Cowen 2-3-2, and Cara Chennells 2-0-1, in only her second U14 game.
In reply St Albans scored freely and Jessie Nelson full of confidence, scoring 21*. Liv Howeson 16*, and Jess Cowen 14 also with great contributions to a team total of 311-7 from their 20 overs, and deservedly reaching the county final for the first time.
Congratulations to the whole U14 girls squad who have had their most successful league season playing in both U12 boys league, and U14 girls league.
The final is against Bishop's Stortford on Sunday 14th July, 13:30 at Knebworth Park. Good luck.
