St Albans Cricket Club Won by 29 runs

Match report A young junior team looked to double their win tally over the Sad Fat Dads with Pads team, as they won the toss and started strongly, with Sammy Kumar and Oliver Brown opening the batting. After the quick wicket of Oliver, James Church joined Sammy at the crease, the two began to show a masterclass in batting, with big 6’s and some very classy shots as well. Sammy soon retired on 38*, bringing Zac Tarrant to the crease. James and Zac continued with James Church retiring on 28*, and Zac soon joined him after making 34*. Jessica Cowen and Taslim Mordani batted very well, as they brought to a close a good batting display, setting the Dads a target of 143 in their 20 overs.
Finlay Killner and Abhishek Roy-Choudhury opened the bowling, with both of them picking up wickets, but more importantly, limiting the runs, with both of them getting 1 maiden. Olivia Howeson bowled well to take a wicket, with Taslim, Jessica, Zac and James all taking a wicket each. Oliver Brown closed out the match, wrapping up a superb overall performance.
Thanks again to the opposition for organising another game. Overall, I would give the Player of the Match to Sammy Kumar, after his superb knock with the bat, however, a big mention to everyone involved, who all contributed their efforts to help the team to victory.
