Match report Looking at a fairly flat deck and strong bowling attack we won the toss and elected to bowl first.

Dan opened up from the pavilion end with a maiden over, followed by a double wicket maiden from Will leaving the hosts 0/2 after two overs. Things then went from bad to worse for them with Dan Harvey collecting his first scalp of the day in his 2nd over, leaving the hosts 4/3. The 4th over from Will had 1 wide preventing the maiden, with Dan Harvey’s 3rd over saw more wickets fall with some late swing and straight balling from Harvey. Hosts now 8/5.

They proceeded to recover somewhat with Shinde and Momin putting on a 42-run partnership with some pinch hitting before Winners’ 2nd over found the breakthrough leaving the hosts 56/6. Although another recovery got them to 87/6 before Winners again found the magic to not only bowl a 10 ball over, but to also take two wickets, with Howeson and Cawood taking catches.

JT stepping up in his 4th over to bowl out their highest scorer Monin on 37; the hosts now 97/9. Jacob finished off the innings with the final wicket in the 26th over with Chipperfield all out for 109.

Great performances all round from the bowlers even with a couple of dropped catches in the field.

Cawood and Winfield opened the batting with Winfield taking a first delivery that would have gone into space had he made contact. The first over proceeded in the same way with 9 balls being bowled and a single run for Jacob leaving the visitors on 5/0 of the first over. 10 off the 2nd over before Jacob uncharacteristically missed a straight one instead of sending it over the pavilion - 20/1. Howeson and Cawood then proceeded to put on 73 off 60 balls before Howeson chipped to mid-off for the catch of the day taken one-handed, back pedalling, by Momin. Skipper Rory Law proceeded to knock the rest of the runs off with a couple of boundaries to win the game with St Albans finishing things off with 111-2 from 15 overs.
