Match report In this friendly game against North Mymms, St Albans U11 fielded a side with 6 people playing only their first or second game. Tight bowling from the visitors giving away only 7 wides restricted us to 75 in 20 overs, with quick excellent scoring from Andrew Morris 15 and Jack Gow 19 not out. Ethan Fogarty from the under 10s also contributed with two lovely 4s.
Poor fielding in the middle order kept Mymms in the run chase...until very good bowling from James Fox (3 wicket in 1 over) and Ethan (3 overs 12 runs for 2 and also took a wicket, caught and bowled, with his first ball at this level) meant top scoring retired batsmen returned to the crease to hit the winning runs with 9 balls remaining. An excellent effort from an inexperienced team.... well done.

Also a big thank you to Linda for the drink and biscuits at the interval, and to Linda and Julia for a brilliant first attempt at scoring.... quess what you will be doing every game next season!
