Match report The IIIs poor season continued with another inglorious defeat, this time to Tewin.

Choosing to bowl first, Tewin built momentum and retained wickets to the point that they reached 101 shortly after the drinks break with the openers still in partnership. The introduction of Walker and Rajani finally yielded some success, 4 wickets falling for 10 runs, and Saints edging their way back into the match. However, a sensible 7th wicket partnership lifted the Tewin score to 192. During this period of the match, Saint's fielding fell apart in a way not seen this season - misfields, overthrows, singles allowed - ceding momentum to the visitors. Rajani finished with three wickets, while Walker was the pick of the bowlers with 5/28.

Almost inevitably, the batting couldn't cope, despite a strong lineup. Shankster's fine bowling dismantled the top order, and Bryce chimed in - finishing with 6 wickets. At 7/59 the game looked gone, but Eames and Ferguson, batting as low as 8 and 9, briefly suggested a recovery. A final score of 119, all out in 34 overs, was a fair reflection of the margin between the teams.

The IIIs now sit in a perilous state with five matches left in the season, 2nd from bottom. The team will need to quickly learn how to win matches if relegation is to be avoided.
