Match report Very few St Albans players left Hatfield with their reputations intact. On a decent track the batsmen didn't score enough, bowlers bowled too loosely and fielding was half-hearted at best, poor at worst. Those worthy of a mention are Dave Hancock, without who the score would have been far less, and Brad Newell for his all-round efforts, capped by excellent fielding and an astonishing catch. (and two very nice young ladies in tow). Some credit should go to Hatfield for a competent performance, but competent is all they had to be to defeat an underperforming St Albans.
