St Albans Cricket Club Lost by 48 runs

Match report The long away trek to Tring! But a lovely evening at a lovely ground, and a switch to the main pitch.
Will McAlister's fine one handed catch off Finlay Killner's bowling was a great start and when Oscar Reeves' safe hands held on off Oscar Ainsworth in the second over, it was 7 for 2 and looking good. A couple of near miss catches followed but Tring then asserted themselves and accumulated runs steadily. St Albans bowled well in patches but faced some good batting and conceded a generous dose of wides. Captain Oscar R's bowling was missed (injured arm) , but Will McAlIster caught the eye with 1 for 6 including a wicket maiden and the only bowler to bowl no wide, while under 13 Nic Berman bowled well too. After 2 retirements, Tring reached an imposing 129-3.
In reply, St Albans lacked the same firepower. Oscar Reeves held the innings together with a positive 27 (retired) but only Thomas Coulling (12) gave sustained support. We did manage to bat the 20 overs and score a respectable 81 for 5 although well short.
Many thanks to under 12s Freddie Reeves and Rhys Barham helping us out; neither looked out of place.
