Match report After a cancellation earlier in the week a 5/6 XI were able to take on Edgware at a rather orange looking Sandpit Lane

Maroof won the toss and elected to bat. After a loss of an early wicket the Melling brothers steadied the ship and got the scoreboard moving. The departure Melling Jnr brought Maroof to the crease who made a brisky 19, the start of a number of good contributions in the batting. Jonathan Harris continued the charge to bring St Albans 100-3 at drinks. 3 quick wickets for 2 runs after drinks had St Albans under pressure. But James Hallam and Tom Coulling counter attacked well and pushed the score past 150.

Coulling departed which brought both Hallam brothers to the crease for the first time and aided by Rohaan pushed St Albans towards a very respectable total 183.

In reply two early wickets from Vivek gave St Albans the advantage in the chase. With batsman swinging at everything the scoreboard kept ticking over. With the ball flying everywhere, everyone was in the game with Promise Jones electric in the field as always. Skipper Maroof was able to stem the flow of runs picking up 3 deserved wickets to give St Albans a chance of victory

Tidy spells from the Hallam brothers, Promise and Rohaan Dean took the game to a tight finish. However Edgware were kept swinging able to get over the line with 3 wickets to spare. A good outing none the less with everyone contributing and youngsters impressing with their performances.
