We would like to introduce a new partnership to St Albans Cricket Club - FabLittleBag!
As female athletes, we've noticed that there is often a lack of support and understanding when it comes to managing periods while participating in sports. Many of us face challenges such as inadequate facilities, discomfort, and embarrassment, which can impact our ability to perform at our best.
That's why we're passionate about promoting the Period Supportive Movement within our club. This initiative aims to educate and support female athletes by providing free period products and promoting a more inclusive and understanding environment for menstruating athletes.
We recently came across FabLittleBag, a company that offers sustainable period products along with responsible disposal solutions. Their Coach Bags are specifically designed to provide free period products and promote discreet and hygienic disposal options for female athletes.
By becoming a Period Supportive Sports Club and partnering with FabLittleBag, we can show our commitment to supporting the needs of all our athletes, regardless of gender. It's about creating a welcoming and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable and confident, both on and off the field.
We believe that implementing period support measures within our club could make a significant difference in the lives of our female athletes. It's about more than just providing products; it's about fostering a culture of inclusivity and understanding. Following on from our recent pavilion refurbishment, this is another great step forward in helping our club become more inclusive for women and girls.
Some of you may have noticed the new dispensers in the toilet areas of our pavilion already, providing free sanitary products and hygienic disposal bags. Can we take a moment to ask that you respect these products and educate others that these are available to those in need and not to be abused or wasted.
