Research shows that 68% of women and girls feel more encouraged to try a new sport if they see themselves represented*.
That’s why Metro Bank and the ECB, working with Getty Images, have launched the Seeing Is Believing campaign - creating a high-quality photography bank to showcase women’s and girls’ cricket and inspire the next generation.
St Albans Cricket Club was delighted to be invited, alongside Millhouses Works CC and Berkhamsted CC, to take part in a professional photoshoot for The Metro Bank Collection. The images captured at these sessions will form part of a free resource available to clubs via the ECB Resource Hub, helping to promote women’s cricket locally with professional-standard imagery for websites, social media, and recruitment campaigns.
For non-club members, the full collection can also be viewed through Getty Images - providing greater visibility for women’s cricket at every level.
By participating, St Albans CC is proud to be contributing to this national drive to grow the women’s game and ensure the sport is truly representative and accessible for all.

*The Metro Bank research was conducted by Censuswide among 2,000 UK females aged 7+ (nationally representative).
