St Albans Cricket Club Won St Albans 120-6 beat LGreen 83-8

Match report St Albans U13s put on a solid performance in their first game of the league in what was a bright but cold evening. St Albans opened the batting with Cook who got off to a slow start, but eventually retired on 33. Awan and Bagnell both scored 20 before being dismissed by Leverstock’s bowlers Abbie and Luke. Cavanagh then added another 13 runs to the total and St Albans ended their innings on 120 -6.

Abbie took two wickets for Leverstock followed by one each for Luke, Kaleem, Becky and William.

Leverstock then opened their batting with Kaleem and Cameron who looked very strong and managed to hit 30 between them before falling under the Bagnell spell. Wickets then came relatively quickly as the St Albans boys picked up the pace in order to avoid a draw due to poor light. Although Abbie put up a great fight for Leverstock and added another 15 to their total, the St Albans bowlers took over from that point and sent the final few batters packing to win the game.
